You can just go straight back to what you were doing before you had a baby, can't you?

Well, not necessarily.

Your body is highly unlikely to be ready for running, impact exercises or any form of sit-ups, for example.

Your pelvic floor and abdomen require restoration work, re-integration & strengthening in an appropriate manner to avoid stress-incontinence and a bulging abdomen.

Monthly Coaching on The Mummy Plan

This comprehensive package includes:

  • One weekly group session with your Coach*
  • Maximum of 6 Mums per group
  • Personalised programme of movement for You** 
  • Access to your Coach throughout the week to ask questions and seek support
  • Virtual trainer support via videos in the Membership Area of our website, for your other workouts
  • Weekly recipe packs to help get your nutrition on point
  • access to online, closed Facebook group for motivation, sharing recipes, and even peer advice on baby matters in a community of fellow Mums

*Classes are held on Thursdays from 10am to 10.45am at Custom Fitness (LN3 4PH)

* Your centre of gravity changed as your belly grew with your baby.  As a result, your alignment, pelvic position, gait and various other aspects of your daily movement may well have changed.

However, we understand time pressures and schedules can be difficult to manage as a Mum, or it may be that your baby is now over 1 year old.

Other frequently asked questions

Can I bring my baby to the weekly Group session?

You are welcome to bring your baby along – please dress
them warmly and feel free to bring toys/comforters/chairs to ensure they are comfortable.

(You remain responsible for your child at all times and
we will require you to sign a disclaimer with regard to
their care.  Our primary focus is You.)

What will my personalised programme include?

This depends on You!

It will be based on where you are now in terms of health & fitness.

Your needs in case or restoration of your core & pelvic floor will be an underlying factor in the choice of movements for your programme.

Your sleep quality and duration, energy levels, time/schedule, any other issues currently affecting You will also be accounted for.

Your programme will also be based on what you ENJOY doing, wherever possible.

Generally speaking, your programme will be updated every 4-6 weeks.  When your periods return, we will also co-ordinate your programme around your menstrual cycle.

Your programme will be designed specifically for You, in the environment you have available.

So if you do not normally have access to, or do not like using gyms- no problem - your programme can include workouts:

  • at home,
  • in the garden,
  • at the park

...or wherever suits You.

How many weeks does the Membership last for?

The packages are based on 44 weeks of Group Sessions per
year.  This allows for both you and your Coach to have a break!

That said, your programme will specifically cover any
periods away from Group Sessions, including holidays.

What if it doesn't suit me?

Your Membership is a rolling monthly subscription, with
payments taken at the start of each calendar month.
You can cancel your subscription by giving one month's
notice at the end of any month during your membership.

What does the membership cost?

Monthly Coaching is available at £65 per month.

I have diastasis recti - is this suitable for me?

Absolutely!

Separation of the abdominal muscles is now known to occur in most women in the later stages of pregnancy.  For some, this separation and weakness down the front of your core can persist into the post-natal period.  Our coach can assess your diastasis recti, coach you on how to create tension (to support you) through that mid-line and ensure your movements are carried out in a way to support its healing & recovery, whilst allowing your strength to improve.
